Travel Grants

 

Icelandic authors, foreign publishers, theatres, literary festival etc. can apply for travel grants for Icelandic authors travelling to promote their work abroad. It is possible to apply for the grant up to 3 months after the travel.

 

Application deadlines are twice a year: March 15th and October 15th.

Þórbergur Þórðarson has had a considerable influence on Icelandic literature, but few of his works are available in translation. His works include Ofvitinn, Bréf til Láru, Íslenskur aðall and Suðursveit.
